Study Group Partnership: Learning Community Onsite at Your School
In collaboration with Teacher Consultants from the National Writing Project in Vermont, teachers at your school explore, question and suggest revision for teaching practices, assignments and student work. Study groups meet at several intervals across a semester or year, determining a focus and drawing on the resources of the local and national networks of Writing Project research, readings and practical teaching ideas.

Young Writers' Camp

July 14-25
Hartford Memorial Middle School,
White River Junction
9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Instructors: Cindy Faughnan and Rick Schluntz
Grades 7-12             Cost: $200

Young Writers will:

  • Write in a friendly and supportive setting with other young writers.
  • Participate in workshops with teachers from the National Writing Project in Vermont.
  • Experiment with revision, style and presentation.
  • Explore a variety of forms that may include essay, poetry, narrative and memoir.
  • Work on correctness for publication: grammar, spelling and punctuation,
  • Publish one piece of writing in an anthology.
This workshop is for any ability level, but a strong commitment to developing as a writer is necessary.
