Announce a Week-long Writing/Teaching Institute
for Teachers, K-12
“Writing and Really Writing: An Exploration of Ways to Inspire Student Writers”
9 AM–3 PM, Mon.–Fri., June 27-July 1, 2005
at the Marlboro College Graduate Center, Brattleboro
Registration fee: $375
This can be taken as a 2-credit Graduate or Undergraduate level course.
(The ‘for credit’ fee to take this course is $700 (inclusive of the regular registration fee)).
• Explore assignments that engage students, improve writing, meet state standards and grade expectations
• Learn techniques of writing from the inside out, experimenting with many forms
across the curriculum
and across the demands of your life
• Read and discuss with colleagues the best of current professional literature
• Build and enjoy a writing community with multiple opportunities to write,
respond to others’ writing, and receive comments on your own writing
